Beans... Greens... Potatoes... Tomatoes... Lamb... Ram... Hogs... Dogs... You Name It!!! Damn I love this time of year. But one thing that does bother me is... How the heck does Blizzard expect me to continue my quest for riches when they're distracting me with All. These. Freaking. Festivities?!! Battle Pets, and Toys, and Mounts, Oh My! And yet, in between my sixth and seventh helping of banana pudding, somehow, I still managed to squeeze out a few gold coins. |
For Spirit of Harmony, I have three spots that I've found to be the best for Mote of Harmony: Isle of Giants, Timeless Isle, and the areas where all the Mogu mobs spawn in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. While the Pattern: Red Linen Robe only drops from mobs ranging from levels 5 - 14, the Pattern: Green Woolen Bag drops from a much larger variety of mobs level 11 - 86 all throughout the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. The Mogu mobs also drop Ancient Guo-Lai Cache Key. These keys open the Ancient Guo-Lai Cache found inside the Guo-Lai Halls which contain many items such as the Ghost Iron Ore, Treasures of the Vale, Spirit of Harmony, Skyshard, and much more! |
After the death of The Murloc Farm, two other substitutes were nominated as second best. One being The Goat Farm. These lucky son-of-a-guns spawn right next to Nesingwary and his band of Merry Men (and Women) in Highmountain. It does take a bit of some rounding up, even with the monk statue, but they sure do drop a metric f$ckton of Big Gamy Ribs! |
Once you get your WoD Garrison to level 3, Trader Darakk becomes available to you. He offers many things for sale, one being a pet named Crusher, which only cost 1,000 gold. |
There are many NPC vendors all over Azeroth that sell items with a limited quantity. For example, I bought this Bronze Tube from Ruppo Zipcoil for 8 silver. And once I bought it, this item was no longer available for anyone else to purchase. You can tell if it's a limited quantity item by the ( ) with a number inside, usually 1 - 4. As part of the new Raiding With Leashes, Blizz added 16 new pets, including the Nerubian Swarmer. Costing you absolutely zero gold, the Sting Ray Pup can be purchased from Conjurer Margoss for 50 Drowned Mana. |
My strategy I use for when I'm selling my enchants is I only post 1 - 2 at a time and no more than a 12 hour listing. Someone will always undercut you within that time frame you have your item listed in the auction house. So I make it routine to check my sales at least once an hour. I use TSM (Trade Skill Master), which I'm not even going to attempt to explain right now. I'll save that one for a rainy day. But basically, I have it so TSM will scan all my auctions (which is usually around 100 or so) and it will highlight any of my sales that have been undercut. It's not always selling the high ticket items that make you a lot of gold, but simply making sure you're the only one people are buying from. |
The Darkmoon Faire, it's like they took all the best parts of Chucky Cheese and that candy filled van your creepy uncle drives around the elementary school parking lot. It's also home to many awesome mounts, toys, and pets. One of those pets being Syd the Squid. Christoph VonFeasel offers the daily quest A New Darkmoon Challenger! Upon defeating him, you'll receive Greater Darkmoon Pet Supplies which contains various pet related consumables, toys, and possibly Syd the Squid. |
The Windwool Cloth and White Trillium Ore are both the results of some Pandaria farming. More specifically, I find a lot of the ore I sell in the Ancient Guo-Lai Cache. I like to frequently visit old content to acquire those things that I neglected when it was released (reputations, mounts, toys, & pets). I've recently done some experimenting with my auction house sales, and have found that people will buy items that NPC vendors sell. For example, the Crystal Vial, I bought from Edward Egan for 1 silver each and the Common Gray Shirt I bought from Ollanus for 1 silver. TSM's pricing feature also shows you how often a specific item sells in the auction house. So I'll frequently check the local NPC vendors, spend a few silver buying their supplies, then turn around and sell it for gold in the auction house. |
The Shore Crawler can be obtained from the Battle Pet Trainer Matty, although he only sells this pet to Goblins. I happened to snipe this one from the auction house for around 200g. Many moons ago I overstocked myself with these Darkmoon Cards, when they were selling extremely well. Nowadays, not so well. So I decided to host my own "holiday clearance sale" to empty out some spots in the bank. |
During WoD I farmed Giant Dinosaur Bone so much, I amassed a huge collection of these Direhorn Runt. They can either drop from the Primal Direhorn or the Zandalari Dinomancer. When Illnea Bloodthorn was initially released, all gathering resource prices crashed on my realm (not a surprise). But I knew it was only temporary, so I took advantage of the prices and was able to purchase essentially all the Arkhana in the auction house for a fraction of it's price. |
Throughout my time farming Emperor Shaohao rep and Timeless Coin on the Timeless Isle (for the Heavenly Golden Cloud Serpent), I unknowingly collected a metric f$ckton of random gathering resources, one being Wildfowl Breast. Cloak enchants also sell decently well, especially considering I only post them one at a time (one each for agility, strength, and intellect). |
One of the bosses in the Burning Crusade's Black Temple is actually a 3-in-1 boss consisting of Essence of Anger, Essence of Desire, and Essence of Suffering. So this boss has the potential to drop three different pets including the Fragment of Desire. |
Although I haven't farmed for my Underbelly Tycoon achievement in a while, I'll occasionally head down into The Underbelly to work on my a$$ kicking proficiency (usually getting my a$$ kicked though). And while I'm there, I'll stop by Laura Malley and pick up a Sewer-Pipe Jelly for 250 Sightless Eye. |
As I continue with my Raiding with Leashes achievement, I generally collect a lot of Frostweave Cloth from time-to-time. Another common drop from the Isle of Giants is the Zandalari Toenibbler. There are also three other versions of this little bastard: Zandalari Anklerender, Zandalari Footslasher, and Zandalari Kneebiter. |
If you've notice, another strategy of mine is I typically post these various gathering resources, such as Netherweave Cloth, in the auction house at their max stack size. Most cloth, ore, and herbs have a maximum stack size of 200. While items such as Giant Dinosaur Bone have a max stack size of 999. Either way, you'll very rarely see me post a "light stack" of something (unless it's a very rare resource). |
