My Facebook page is growing much faster than I anticipated, and answering messages and reading comments took up most of my morning. You guys are so awesome by the way! So afterwards, I found myself just needing to get out of the office for a bit. It was a cool, sunny day. Perfect for a walk in a light sweater. But I decided to drive... |
As I grew up, so did my toys. This is my '93 GTR R32 Skyline V-Spec II. I'm not going to go into the details, but just in case you're wondering... yeah, she's fast. Just simply cranking her up is so therapeutic. And as I'm driving down the beach side highway, I roll the windows down a bit to let the air in. At a stop light, I see a group of American tourist pointing at my car. A kids tells his dad it's a Skyline. I love stop lights by the way... It turns green. She lets out her Godzilla Roar. I shift into second, as the blow off valves chirp (that's my favorite part). I see the kid in my mirror, his face lit with excitement. And that's all I needed. As I head back to the office, I think to myself. If I were to only hope for one thing to come out of this New Year, it would be for me to at least inspire one other person or to be a part of a long lasting memory that they find enjoyment in. |
